As much as I love the idea of designing and controlling every detail of new construction, there is something I have come to appreciate about an old building. It doesn’t even have to be that old- just used before; something with history is best, but anything with a history will do. It’s like buying clothes or books- new is great; but vintage is something special. It has an unknown story, a mysterious provenance. I would love to find an old building, or structure of any kind and completely think outside the box of normal renovation. Pretty much any kind of ramshackle shelter that I see lately I think “I could live in that!” I’m going to be posting a ton of awesome inspiration for little houses, cabins, and caravans soon. For now, here are some houses converted from old and repurposed buildings.
